UNIT 1 and DJ Dom Whiting Light Up London with the First-Ever "Own The Night" Ride

London, November 2025 - Smart helmet brand UNIT 1 and DJ Dom Whiting, known for his viral “Drum & Bass on the Bike” series, are joining forces to transform the streets of London into a moving wave of light, rhythm, and community this month.

The event will take place on 28th November, starting at 18:00 at Pub On The Park,  London Fields. It will bring together hundreds of riders to experience a night ride unlike any other, one that merges nightlife, music, and urban mobility in celebration of visibility and togetherness.

Riders can register at ownthenight.liveOnce signed up, participants receive a confirmation email with all the details about the ride as well as a special discount code for UNIT 1 gear.

The ride will be led by Dom Whiting, who will DJ live from his bike, guiding participants through a curated route across the city. Riders are encouraged to bring their own lights, smart helmets, or any gear that shines, turning the streets of London into a living light show.

The Idea Behind the Partnership

Dom’s rides bring people together. UNIT 1 brings visibility & safety. Own The Night blooms at the intersection of both.

Taking Drum & Bass on a Bike into the dark wasn’t a creative twist – it was the point. Night is when visibility matters most, and when most crashes happen simply because riders aren’t seen. A regular helmet protects you after the impact. Visibility prevents the impact in the first place.

UNIT 1’s Smart Helmets turn riders into bright, unmistakable figures on the road; Dom’s community turns that visibility into a cultural moment. Together, the ride becomes a live demonstration of what safer night riding can look like when an entire city lights itself up.

A Shared Vision

"Most crashes happen when riders aren’t seen. So instead of just talking about safety, we’re demonstrating it at scale.” said Sofia Celaá, Marketing Manager at UNIT 1. “We want the whole city to see what happens when hundreds of riders light themselves up together. OWN THE NIGHT is more than an event; it’s the start of a culture where riding after dark feels powerful instead of risky."
DJ Dom Whiting added, “I’ve always wanted my rides to bring people together through the love of music and bikes. Partnering with a helmet brand is something I haven’t done before, and to do it with UNIT 1 is fantastic. Not only will we be raising awareness for helmet safety but, we will also be lighting up London in a very special way on Friday, November 28th!"

A Global Movement in the Making

While London marks the first edition of Own The Night, UNIT 1 and Dom Whiting are already exploring ways to bring this blend of visibility, community, and night-time energy to other cities around the world.

Own The Night is built to become a global series – proving, city by city, that when riders are visible, riding at night becomes something people can embrace rather than fear.
