The World’s Most Iconic Steel Bicycle Frame Returns - Reintroducing the Cinelli Supercorsa

Milan, Italy - 22 January 2026

Over 70 years since its introduction, leading Italian performance cycling lifestyle brand Cinelli has unveiled a reimagining of the iconic Supercorsa frameset, now available in 17 sizes from 48 through to 64cm and in eight stunning colors.

The Supercorsa remains 100% Made in Italy, designed according to the original specifications perfected in the 60s with its instantly recognizable sloping fork design and fast-back seat stays. For 2026 the frameset returns with a new look, whilst staying true to its legendary heritage.

First introduced in 1951 by Cino Cinelli and framebuilder Luigi Valsassina for Luigi’s friend, the one and only Fausto Coppi, the Cinelli Supercorsa is the most iconic Italian racing frame of all time. Cinelli’s stated goal was to create “the perfect functional harmony between the three main parts of the frame: the fork, the main triangle and the rear stays”.

This harmony was to be achieved through the development of stiffness, elasticity, aerodynamics and aesthetics, with each component of the frame completely redesigned according to the radical criteria of Cino, the stubborn perfectionist.

Beloved by generations of riders and framebuilders, the Supercorsa is defined by its elegant geometry, steel construction, and legendary ride feel. Today, each frame continues to be handmade in Milan by Cinelli’s master craftsmen using Columbus Spirit tubing—ensuring the shortest and most local supply chain in the industry.

“The Supercorsa is Cinelli’s soul,” said Victor Luis, Chairman of Cinelli. “For over 70 years, it has embodied the timeless pursuit of performance through craft. This latest iteration stays true to its legacy and continues to pay homage to Italian steel tradition as an object of desire for riders and collectors alike.”

The 2026 Supercorsa features double-butted Columbus SL tubing and original lugs, together with its famed Columbus SL 1” Threaded sloping fork. Compatible with standard rim brakes, an ITA 70mm bottom bracket shell, internal rear brake routing and featuring downtube shifter bosses. Retro meets modern style, continuing an unmatched history that carries endless stories from the road.

The new Supercorsa was reintroduced for collectors in a limited edition pink colorway in late 2025 with just 12 frames produced, each one a tribute to Cino Cinelli’s 12 legendary race victories. Now, the frameset returns in a production-ready version, continuing the Supercorsa legacy for years to come.
