Melbourne-based cycling apparel brand MAAP has today launched its latest New Season Road collection. Featuring everything riders need to embrace change and keep progressing as the season evolves.
The range consists of a selection of new items and updated staples, all utilising MAAP’s sophisticated fabric and product engineering to create a versatile system, seamlessly integrating aerodynamic efficiency, thermoregulation, and adaptable layering for unpredictable seasonal conditions.
Leading the collection is the new Pro Aero Thermal Jersey. Purpose built for the speed-obsessed rider that demands uncompromising performance year-round, it brings the pinnacle of MAAP’s aerodynamic fabric engineering into cold-weather kit for the first time.
Unlike traditional thermal jerseys that prioritise insulation at the expense of efficiency, the Pro Aero Thermal Jersey employs a dual-fabric construction to deliver warmth while aiding aerodynamic performance.
This expertly engineered balance is born out of two innovative brushed-back Italian fabrics; Corno Speed 200 across the sleeves, where an aero-optimised channelled rib structure aids in delaying airflow separation and Corno Spinner SC that delivers a smooth, form hugging, targeted warmth across the body. The result, a compressive race-fit that delivers speed for all seasons.
Beyond the performance fabrics, riders can find precision-bonded hems, integrated bonded rear pockets and a YKK Vislon® Snap Lock Zip to maintain a clean, wind-cheating silhouette while sealing out the cold.
Also joining the range is the new Team Thermal Vest, a versatile layering piece designed to earn a place in a rider's wardrobe beyond just winter months.
Balancing insulation, wind protection and breathability, the Team Thermal Vest has been developed for the changing conditions riders race throughout autumn, winter and spring. A THERMOROUBAIX® 3.0 brushed fleece front panel provides a breathable barrier against bitter winds and low temperatures. This is complemented by high-stretch, brushed-back textiles across the side and rear profiles for maximum thermoregulation during the most demanding efforts.
Further to the new additions to the range, MAAP’s latest New Season Road collection also features fresh new colourways in staples such as the Pro Emerge Jersey, Team Bib Evo, Team Bib Evo Cargo and both Atmos and Team Flow ranges of jackets and vests that riders consistently turn to season after season. As well as refreshed Socks, Mitts, Gloves, Caps and Bottles.
