DESIGNED AROUND YOU, NOT THE PRO PELOTON

One of the most common questions we hear is: “Why don’t we see Basso in the World Tour?”.

The answer to this question shaped the development of the SV and highlights our unique perspective. Without the constraints of catering firstly to professional racing demands, we had the freedom to design a bike that prioritizes the needs of everyday riders/people who ride for passion, performance, and the sheer love of the sport.

Many brands start by creating bikes for elite athletes and then adapt those designs for consumers, often leaving gaps in comfort and versatility. At Basso, we chose a different path. By not fielding a World Tour team, we focused entirely on real riders, crafting a bike that embodies the perfect balance of racing performance and everyday usability.

Building a Rider-Focused Performance Bike

To achieve this vision, we began with a deep dive into what riders truly want from a high-performance bike. Partnering with the renowned 4 Performance Bike Fit Studio, we analyzed the biomechanics and positioning needs of diverse cyclists. We sought to understand how fit and comfort could harmonize with aerodynamics and speed, creating a bike that adapts seamlessly to the rider.

In addition, we utilized artificial intelligence to explore market trends and preferences, identifying the specific attributes that high-end bike buyers value most. This data-driven approach ensured that every design decision was rooted in the desires and expectations of riders.

4PERFORMANCE-DEVELOPED GEOMETRY

For this project, the Basso Bikes R&D team worked closely with the 4Performance bike fitting studio, a collaboration built on mutual trust and a shared vision.

This partnership, which began with the SV project, has resulted in an in-depth analysis of biomechanics and ergonomics, specifically tailored to real-world riders. The outcome is a precisely engineered bike and component geometry that allows each rider to fine-tune their SV model to match their unique riding style, capabilities, and body structure.

This customization maximizes both the bike’s and rider’s full potential, helping them achieve their personal best.

Each SV is built to individual specifications, offering a choice of 7 frame sizes, 16 integrated handlebar options in 2 distinct designs, and 2 seat post setback choices, ensuring a perfect fit for every rider.
