ROUVY Adds Interactive Segments, Brings Pro Training Camp Destinations to Your Home and More in Latest Updates
- Compete with friends over predefined segments in real-time
- Increased in-app customisation, including ERG Mode control and avatar personalisation
- A wave of new routes added with improved searchability
25th September 2025, Prague: ROUVY, the indoor cycling app which lets users ride real routes around the world from their home, has unveiled its latest wave of new updates and innovations to improve the rider experience heading into the indoor season.
New Immersive Segments
With the app’s biggest update of the season, ROUVY will introduce timed segments from 20th October 2025. Put the hammer down, add a playful element to your interval session or challenge your mates and claim your place on the segment leaderboard.
As with riding outdoors, ROUVY riders will find a selection of pre-defined segments across climbs, rolling road sections and shorter sprints to test themselves on and set a new personal best.
Additional motivation comes in the form of avatars representing the segment leader, your friends' and your own past best efforts.
Even More Iconic Routes & Spotlights
These new segments will feature on current routes as well as a range of new roads, including popular training camp destinations and far-flung corners of the world as ROUVY continues on its mission to map the world and inspire adventure from indoor cycling.
European hotspots Calpe, Andorra and Girona form the latest Winter Training Camp Spotlight, once again inspired by Lidl-Trek and Team Visma | Lease a Bike, providing escapism from the cold and helping build fitness ahead of the coming season. Or get accustomed to your own upcoming training camp destination, exploring roads regularly ridden by the pro cyclists.
Alternatively, choose to explore further afield with routes added from the epic landscapes of Bolivia, Sri Lanka and Tajikistan, which combine to form ROUVY’s latest Great World Adventure Spotlight.
Another additional feature of this indoor season is a new five-week Alpine Peak climbing Spotlight starring ROUVY ambassador and former British men's hill climb champion Andrew Feather. Running from 10th November to the festive season, this Spotlight takes in five legendary Dolomite passes each recorded by ROUVY’s community using the ROUVY Route Creator, including Passo Pordoi, Passo Sella, Passo di Giau, Passo Fedaia and Passo Gardena.
Increased Control
ROUVY riders can now personalise their experience even further with redesigned customisation ability within the virtual garage, tailoring both rider and equipment in-app. Once riding, you will also be able to now toggle ERG Mode - automatic resistance adjustment on your trainer to match the target power - on and off when required. This allows for more precision in structured workouts when measuring pace and effort.

“We’re continuing to look to innovate and improve how riders can make the most of each and every ride on ROUVY, whilst increasing the content that riders can experience in the app,” explained Product Director, Marek-Martin Matyska. “With our new segments we’re looking to inspire friendly competition and push performance whilst riding your favourite routes or exploring new destinations.”
Discussing routes, ROUVY Content & Experience Director Antonín Parma added, “We are on a mission to digitise the cycling world which continues to inspire adventure. This winter we’re excited that our internal recording crew, and quickly expanding ROUVY Route Creator community, have captured some really unique roads and locations for our riders, which most will never get the chance to experience in person.”
Additional In-App Updates
Following an overhaul of how users can discover new routes with an interactive global map showcasing the thousands of routes on ROUVY, the app also sees a range of new filters added to the route search area, including average and max gradient sliders, and more.
