Modern Adventure Pro Cycling Appoints PaceUp Media as International Communications Agency
12th December, South Carolina - New men’s professional cycling team Modern Adventure Pro Cycling has appointed PaceUp Media, the PR and communications agency for sporting brands, as their international communications agency for the 2026 season.
Building on a track record of working with leading cycling teams in both the women’s and men’s pelotons, London-based agency PaceUp has partnered with the UCI ProTeam to support the establishment of a global communications and marketing strategy, including sponsorship activation and press office functions.
General Manager of the team, Rich Hincapie commented on the collaboration: “The PaceUp team has quickly shown a strong understanding of the sport and presents an exciting partner for the team’s imminent growth as we look to establish ourselves on the world stage. Their experience in developing communications, managing partnerships and connecting with the international media will help us to grow the team’s identity and raise the profile of Modern Adventure Pro Cycling, our sponsors and also our riders over the coming year.”
Registered in June 2025, the US-registered team founded by veteran cyclist George Hincapie will reignite racing state-side and aims to inspire the next generation of talent. The organisation is built around the core belief that the sport is more than competition — it's a test of resilience, teamwork, and determination.
Modern Adventure Pro Cycling Team will compete in key European and American events as the only domestic-based UCI ProTeam. This phase will develop elite riders, sharpen race tactics, and build the team's infrastructure. As the squad grows, it will target Europe's premier races while maintaining a presence at major global events. Ultimately, the goal is to join the UCI World Tour, race the Grand Tours, and establish itself as a marquee team..
PaceUp director, Tom Copeland added: “Working closely with professional teams and athletes has been a core component of what we do at PaceUp since day one, and the opportunity to align with Modern Adventure at this exciting, formative stage of the project presents a hugely exciting opportunity for our team. The team’s vision and approach is a refreshing approach, one that immediately caught our eye and as soon as we spoke with the leadership team, we knew it was a great fit.”
The full 21-rider roster for the coming 2026 season was confirmed this November, with a mix of riders predominantly from the US, alongside three British riders and others from South Africa, New Zealand, Colombia and Canada.
Alongside its marketing and communications activity, PaceUp will act as the team’s press office with immediate effect. Any inbound press enquiries should be directed to Media@maprocycling.com.
