2nd November 2023, Melbourne - Melbourne-based cycling apparel brand MAAP has today launched Atmos, its most lightweight, waterproof and packable range of jackets and vests to date.

Created to be the ultimate versatile outerwear layer, Atmos represents a step change in jacket and vest performance and versatility. Its exceptionally low weight and packability make for a true trans-seasonal wardrobe addition that enables peace of mind, year round, no matter how changeable the conditions. Keep showing up for social loops or nailing those all important training rides whatever the weather.

Constructed using the innovative Pertex® Shield fabric, Atmos uses a permeable nanofibre membrane to give a 20,000mm hydrostatic head waterproof rating with incredible levels of breathability. This featherweight high performance fabric is just 68gsm, resulting in the men’s jacket weighing 120g and vest just 90g (size medium) and women’s jacket 110g and vest 85g (size small).

The lightweight nature of the fabric and minimalist approach to their design makes the Atmos range MAAP's most packable garments to date. The articulated cut has enabled unnecessary bulk to be stripped out, while in-built stretch delivers improved freedom of movement and a perfect fit whether layered on top of a lightweight summer jersey or thicker winter option.

Bonding key areas such as cuffs and hems has further helped enhance its impressive pack-down capabilities. The result is a refined and technical finish delivering only what riders need and nothing they don’t, fitting in a jersey pocket with room to spare.
