londoncyclefestival Space Filling Up Fast

Industry-leading brands continue to join the capital's biggest cycling event in June

  • londoncyclefestival, VIA CRITERIUM and the Brompton World Championships come to Kings Cross on 21-23rd June
  • Exhibitor spaces are selling out
  • Multiple exhibition spaces welcome some of the industry’s most exciting brands

June 2024, London - Preparations are well underway for the londoncyclefestival, taking place this coming weekend. The event looks to welcome some of the cycling industry's leading brands, the fastest cyclists from around the country (including Adam Blythe and Alec Briggs), and the general public to soak it all up. There will be everything from elite criterium racing and Brompton racing, right through to brand exhibition space and "try it yourself" slots for people to ride around the racing circuit.

"The idea of doing it centrally in Kings Cross, is to make it as accessible to as many people as possible. So what we want to do is get lots of people down to actually see the racing, but also plenty of time for them to take part as well… kicking off with a bit of a party in Coal Drops Yard on the Friday night with racing starting from 6. If you're thinking about racing, or it's something you've considered but having got a license (or experience), we've got slots over the weekend where you can actually ride the track" - Michael Sodeau (Director, VIA Atelier)

An impressive list of cycling brands will be present at the event, bringing together jaw-dropping bikes, as well as the latest tech, gear and gadgets. Brands already onboard for the show include: Brompton, Van Rysel, Oakley, Shimano, Lazer, Vitoria, DT-Swiss, Universal Colours, Jimmy’s coffee La Marzocco, Laka, Lucky Saint, Ridgeback, Outspoken Cycles, plus VIA's existing in-house brands: Standert, Rapha, PAS, Factor, Velocio, and POC.

"We’re so thrilled to be hosting the inaugural londoncyclefestival and the second edition of the VIA CRITERIUM in King’s Cross and Coal Drops Yard this June. With a wide range of events, there’s truly something for everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist, a keen sports spectator or in search of family fun and free activities for kids, we invite you to join us and experience the excitement first hand" - Chrissy Cullen (Place Marketing Director, King’s Cross)

In addition, there will also be a full programme of community activities throughout the weekend , including hosted workshops covering essential bike maintenance, Barista masterclasses (how to make the perfect flat white!) and test rides, plus delicious street food to cater for all appetites.

The londoncyclefestival and VIA CRITERIUM are brought to life by the team behind VIA Atelier, the premium cycling concept store based in King’s Cross, designed by cyclists, run by cyclists. The event is committed to promoting health and fitness and green initiatives within the community. The weekend will see people of all ages – from toddlers to the over 60s – experience cycling in a safe, secure and closely monitored environment.
