Lee Cougan Launches The Rampage Origin
A Next-Generation Hardtail for Modern XC Racing
September 24, 2025, Bassano del Grappa, Italy - Lee Cougan presents the Rampage Origin, a purpose-built XC hardtail that redefines the concept of speed through simplicity. Engineered for maximum performance, it’s lightweight where it matters, compliant where it counts, and tough where it needs to be.
The Rampage Origin is a purebred race machine, distilled from nearly 50 years of mountain biking passion, relentless innovation, and a drive to perform. A pure expression of speed, efficiency, and purpose.
This is the Origin of Speed.

Born From a Champion's Vision
The Rampage Origin was developed in response to a call from 2x Marathon World Champion Leo Páez
“I need the best hardtail bike to fight for the 2025 Marathon World Championship at the Grand Raid BCV in Switzerland."
The result? A machine built purely for racing - and proven at the highest level.
Leo’s custom build, weighing just 9.4 kg (with pedals, dropper post and tire inserts), carried him to a 3rd place podium finish after 125 km and over 5,025 m of climbing.
