Kailas FUGA launches the DU MONSTER: a High Grip Trail Shoe Designed for Steep, Technical Terrain
26th May 2026: Guangzhou, China - Global trail running brand Kailas FUGA is adding a brand new model to its DU trail shoe series: the FUGA DU MONSTER. It is the latest addition to its high performing technical DU trail shoe series and is the solution to runners of all levels facing adverse weather conditions and extreme terrain.
Built on the foundation of the DU’s exceptional grip performance, the DU MONSTER combines FUGA’s existing IP technology with updated Vibram technologies, TPU foaming and an extra-stable heel support. The shoe is engineered to tackle technical uphill sections, deep-mud, steep descents, gravel tracks and grassy trails, helping to deliver confidence and control when the trail becomes most demanding.

The shoe weighs 315g (EU42) with a 5mm drop and an aggressive 5/7mm lug configuration for superior traction across mixed terrain. FUGA’s IP technologies - the AWS locking system and Anti-Toe Impact designs which prevent black-toe injuries - are retained in the design. The DU MONSTER joins DU2 and DU Speed as part of the brand's dedicated range engineered for steep climbs, descents and unpredictable weather conditions. The DU series sits alongside the EX series, which has proved a favourite among is loved by ultra-distance runners and elite-level racers.
The DU Monster is already available for purchase on FUGA’s official website and will be available in select stores in Italy, Spain and France from June onwards.
