Kailas FUGA Athletes take 1-2 at UTMB World Series Finals CCC® with Cristian MINOGGIO and Miguel ARSENIO

Kailas FUGA elite athletes Cristian MINOGGIO and Miguel ARSENIO took the top two places at the UTMB World Series Finals CCC® race in Chamonix.

Wearing the Kailas FUGA EX PRO, Italian runner Cristian MINOGGIO finished in a time of 10:21:48 after over 100k of racing, stepping up from taking second place at UTMB World Series Finals OCC® in 2025.

Battling tough conditions, which saw a course alteration during the race, Portuguese Miguel ARSENIO finished with a time of 10:27:25, racing in the new EX PRO G shoes, climbing his way through the top 10 during the race to finish second. Both athletes finished just metres away from the new Kailas FUGA Store in Chamonix.

Kailas FUGA Brand Director Nina SUN commented: “We’re making history. To take victory at such a race is already a huge moment for the brand, but to take first and second is incredible. MINOGGIO and ARSENIO have made us all proud and to all see it together here in Chamonix and share this moment is something we will remember forever.”
MINOGGIO said: “Last year it was truly magical to arrive with Jim. That will rest in my heart all my life. This year it was different. I managed the race differently and arrived alone. I’m so happy that Miguel, my friend, finished second, too.
“I started steady, because I knew that over the distance I could go well. I listened to the strategy that my team gave me, Franco Colle and my coach Ottolini Saverio. I followed their strategy because they are older have the experience.
“I dedicate this victory to FUGA. I raced with the EX PROs today, the shoes were perfect. They give me stability on the technical sections and the carbon plate helps you to maintain momentum on the faster sections. I’ve already been using this shoe for three years, each year Kailas FUGA makes it better following our feedback. This development from the brand is something that I really appreciate and helps us to perform at our best.”
ARSENIO said: “From the beginning I had really good legs today. To be honest when you are in good shape you can feel in the weeks before that you’re going to have a good day. Things happen naturally, sensations are there, you start to get motivated. I ran my own race, set my own pace, and in the second half caught a lot of guys to finish second.
“I chose the EX PRO G to run in today. It’s the perfect conditions to use the Gaiters. On muddy days it works really well, no dirt or sand inside.
“Finishing behind Cristian was nice. First place was in good hands. He’s such a humble guy, a funny guy. I have been lucky to share some moments with him at Marathon du Mont Blanc and FUGA Training Camps. He deserves it - he was the strongest today.”

Kailas FUGA Athletes Canhua LUO, China, and Damien HUMBERT, France, placed 16th and 20th respectively, making it four in the top 20.
