Kailas FUGA Athletes Dominate the Podium During a Winning Weekend at FUGA Dolomiti Extreme Trail
Val Di Zoldo, Italy - 17th June, 2026: Global trail running brand Kailas FUGA celebrated a dominant weekend of results with 11 podium finishes, including four victories at the 2026 edition of FUGA Dolomiti Extreme Trail (DXT).
In the mountains of Val Di Zoldo, FUGA elites and FUGA Mountain Club (FMC) athletes took podiums in distances from 103-22k over the technically renowned rocky terrain. Leading performances came from Gionata COGLIATI (Italy) who stormed to victory in the men’s 72k race in a time of 8:47:25 to take his third straight win on the course.
Speaking after the race he reflected, “yes it is the third victory, there is no secret, the important thing is to arrive at the race prepared because the route is very extreme. Being very technical and rocky terrain, I preferred to have a comfortable, stable and protective shoe, which is why I raced in the FUGA EX 3.”
Kailas FUGA elite Luca ARRIGONI (Italy) also took his second straight DXT victory, this year competing in the men’s 35k as opposed to the 55k which he won in 2025. Bodgan DAMIAN (Romania) and Madalina AMARIEI (Romania) faced a gruelling course with 3,600m of elevation to take the win in men’s and women’s 55k races, making a statement for their debut races with FUGA.
Over the shorter distances the EX PRO, with its carbon plate, was the race shoe of choice for all three athletes, with ARRIGONI commenting, “my favourite shoe, for medium distances it is the perfect choice!”
DAMIAN and AMARIEI chose to run in a new gaiter version of the shoe, providing additional protection around the foot and further reducing the impact of the rocky terrain.
The FMC is made up of over 500 talented athletes from 16 countries forming a global community of strong ambitious runners. This speaks for itself with 19 FMC athletes racing over the weekend of DXT from nine countries, taking six podium places.
The second year of partnership between FUGA and DXT sees not only the introduction of May’s Women’s Trail race, but also the DXT Inclusiva. Off the back of his third place finish in the men’s 72k, FUGA and FUGA Mountain Club athlete Davide RIVERO (Italy) came together to enable physically disabled runners to join the course, with two Joelettes and a visually impaired athlete completing the 11k distance. Part of FUGA’s movement to break down barriers, getting more people on the trails.
