Introducing the Oakley GRA-VIA - London’s First Urban-Connected Gravel Race

May 2025, London, UK: VIA Atelier, London’s leading cycling concept store, has today announced the launch of a new gravel cycling event, starting from its King’s Cross location on 22nd June 2025 - part of The London Cycle Festival.

The Oakley GRA-VIA consists of a 120km route with 1,400m elevation, heading north to take in the rolling Hertfordshire countryside. The GRA-VIA route connects London's city streets with the gravel tracks, wooded lanes and open farmland outside the hustle and bustle. With flowing bridleways and punchy climbs, it has been designed for speed and scenery in equal measure

The course, which can be tackled at your own pace, features eight timed ‘race’ Strava segments along the way, there will be special prizes for the fastest time through each sector and the quickest rider to complete all sectors will receive the main prize. The GRA-VIA team will calculate all the times via the STRAVA club once all riders have completed the race, with premium prizes available from VIA Atelier and a range of event partners including Oakley and Red Bull.

The route itself will be marked at key points, however some self-navigation will be required along the way, with the route and sector details sent to all riders two days before the event day. Refuelling stations will be positioned along the route, including the pop-up Oakley Village halfway round, with a complementary pizza party provided at the end of the ride, on return to VIA Atelier.

GRA-VIA forms part of the VIA Criterium and The London Cycle Festival, which take place in and around the King’s Cross, Coal Drops Yard area from 20-22 June 2025.

Entries for GRA-VIA are now open on Eventbrite - here. Entry costs £30 per rider.
