Crafted using premium thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), the tube combines an ultra-light construction with a compact, easy-to-carry design, the perfect upgrade for cyclists looking to save valuable weight without sacrificing dependable performance.

The TPU Ultralight Inner Tube weighs up to 60% less than a standard butyl inner tube, saving 70g per wheel or 140g per wheelset creating a more responsive ride feel. Whilst the TPU material offers a lower rolling resistance than standard butyl tubes, improving speed and efficiency, perfect for race day.

Utilising Hutchinson’s experience in developing tyre and inner tube solutions for cyclists, the TPU Ultralight has been engineered for everyday durability despite its light-weight construction. It features a reinforced molded valve base that protects against repeated bending and flexing, helping prevent air leaks and improving fatigue resistance. The aluminum valve also makes it safe to use an electric pump for further everyday compatibility.

Beyond its performance advantages, the TPU Ultralight packs down up to 50% less volume, fitting comfortably into a jersey pocket or saddle bag, making it an ideal spare for training and long distance adventures.
