Hutchinson Expands Range of Made in France Bike Care Products

  • Three new products including a dedicated Brake Cleaner, waterless plant-based Wipe Cleaners and Shine Bike protective and shine-enhancing spray
  • New additions develop Hutchinson’s intuitive multi-step maintenance routine
  • Developed and made in France, the line up uses biodegradable formulas to protect bike finishes and extend component life

15th September, Montargis, France - Hutchinson, the French tyre and cycling accessories manufacturer with over 130 years of innovation, has today announced an expansion of its cycling offering with an updated range of bike care products. The release develops its intuitive 1-2-3 bike care routine by adding a fourth step designed to leave bikes looking factory-fresh.

Three new products join the line up: a specialized Brake Cleaner, a convenient Wipe Cleaner system, and Shine Bike, a protective polishing spray that completes the brand’s new 4-step maintenance routine.

Hutchinson Wipe Cleaner (€22.99 / £28.99 / US Availability TBC)

Where space to clean your bike is limited or for when travelling, the Hutchinson Wipe Cleaner is a practical solution featuring 40 wipes in a handy tub. Crafted from bio-based, plant-derived fabric, each wipe is pre-soaked in a 100% biodegradable, cherry-scented formula that cleans mud and road grime without requiring rinsing or water. To ensure long-lasting freshness and prevent drying out or leakage during transport, the roll of wipes is sealed inside an airtight internal pouch within the tub. Each tub also includes the Hutchinson Microfibre Cleaner cloth to allow you to buff surfaces to a spotless, streak-free finish.

Hutchinson Brake Cleaner (€9.99 / UK & US Availability TBC)

A high performance degreaser formulated specifically for the complete maintenance of disc brakes, pads, brake shoes and calipers. The 400ml aerosol features a powerful, targeted spray delivery that rapidly dissolves and blasts away built-up oil, grease, brake dust, and road grime without leaving behind any film. Restoring braking performance, eliminating irritating brake squeal and helping to prolong the lifespan of delicate braking components.

Hutchinson Shine Bike (€9.99 / UK & US Availability TBC)

Completing the 1-2-3-4 bike care routine is the new Hutchinson Shine Bike, a 400ml protective polish and finishing spray. Manufactured entirely in France, Shine Bike is designed to be applied to a clean, dry frame, fork, wheels, and accessories. It revives paint colours, restores the original luster of your bike's finish, and leaves behind a thin protective barrier that prevents incoming mud, dirt, and dust from adhering during subsequent rides. Versatile and gentle, it works on both matt and gloss finishes, keeping bicycles looking factory-new.

The Complete 1-2-3-4 Bike Care System

These new releases seamlessly integrate into Hutchinson's established 1-2-3-4 Bike Care System, designed to simplify routine maintenance into four clear, logical stages.

Step 1: Clean. The routine begins with the cherry-scented Bike Cleaner (available in a 1L spray bottle and an economical 5L refill container). Its 100% biodegradable formula creates an abundant, thick lather that lifts surface mud and deep-down grime while depositing a protective shield across all paints and varnishes.

Step 2: Degrease & Prepare. Components are thoroughly cleaned prior to lubrication. Drivetrains are prepared using the Hutchinson Chain Cleaner (1L), an anti-corrosion formula that removes heavy build up from chains, links, cassettes, and chainrings. The new Brake Cleaner now works alongside it to ensure disc and rim braking assemblies remain equally clean and oil-free.

Step 3: Lubricate. Once cleaned and degreased, drivetrains receive targeted friction reduction. Riders can choose between Dry Lube (125 ml), a wax-based formula engineered for smooth, quiet shifting in dry conditions without blackening the chain, and AllSeason Lube (125 ml), an oil-based formula built for all-weather durability. Both lubricants incorporate precise applicator nozzles to prevent product waste.

Step 4: Protect & Finish. The routine concludes with Shine Bike, giving the frame and components a durable protective shine and dust-repellent coating.

To complement the product range, Hutchinson offers dedicated workshop accessories, including the Brush Bike Set, a 3-in-1 kit featuring custom-shaped Frame, Drivetrain, and Precision brushes with ergonomic grips. Alongside the Microfibre Cleaner Set which contains two thick, highly absorbent 40x40 cm machine-washable cloths. For riders looking for an all-in-one portable maintenance kit, the Ultimate Bike Care Kit combines a cleaner, degreaser, all-weather lubricant, and microfibre cloth in a compact pack.
