Honor Elliott and Damien Clayton Winners of the Second Edition of Dalby Grit
24th June 2026, Dalby Forest: After 115km of racing across some of the best gravel tracks the country has to offer, elite racers Honor Elliott (Specialized UK) and Damien Clayton (SCOTT x Spatz) took victory in the women’s and men’s Dalby Grit race this weekend.
The second edition of the race rolled out under sunny skies to the backdrop of the stunning Dalby Forest on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, with hundreds of riders taking to the start line across two days of racing.
With each event finally being decided in the closing stages of racing, it was eventually Honor Elliott who took victory in Saturday’s women’s race, just 16 seconds ahead of Nicola Lynch in second, with Ewa Mitka rounding out the podium just over a minute behind.
In Sunday’s men’s race, former professional road rider Clayton made it back-to-back victories following his win in 2025, soloing to the line with a 2’35” margin on Connor Sens (VIA Racing) after over 3h20 of racing. Tekkerz rider Paddy Chapman rounded out the podium in third.
“This weekend proved once again that Dalby Grit is one of the go-to gravel races in the country,” explained Co-Race Director, Neil Atkinson. “The riders delivered some hugely exciting racing and the feedback on the course and support was superb, which was hugely positive to hear as we built on the success of last year’s debut Dalby Grit race.”
