Focal Events Brings New Endurance Road Option at SCOTT Frontier 300 in 2026

Cumbria, 29th October 2025: Focal Events, organisers of the popular Panaracer Dirty Reiver, Dalby Grit and Gravel Rocks events, has announced the introduction of an exciting new road option at the SCOTT Frontier 300 - covering 300km of stunning road routes and nearly 4,000m of climbing from the west coast of Scotland to the east coast of England.

Taking place over the weekend 29-30th May 2026, the SCOTT Frontier 300 now offers both a gravel or a road route, each being an endurance adventure traversing the country from coast-to-coast. The inaugural road event will be limited to just 150 spaces and split across two days only, so those wanting to secure a space will have to act fast.

The new Frontier 300 road version sets off from Rockcliffe Bay, Scotland, in the early hours of Friday morning alongside those tackling the all-road route sharing certain sections along the way. The parcours heads east towards the borders, riding through forests, past Castles and even a Buddhist Temple along a stunning route that will never be forgotten. Covering around 175km on day one, riders set off on Saturday for the final 125km to the finish at Druridge Bay 300km later where a celebration by the beach will be waiting, stories are shared and adventures compared.

“With the new road format at Frontier 300 we can open up the event to a whole new audience of riders whilst still keeping the core ethos of what this event is about - a spectacular adventure on two wheels with a community of riders tackling the country from one side to the other,” explained co-Event Director, Neil Atkinson. “We consulted our extended community or riders past and present to get feedback on what would help open up the weekend to more riders. Having an equally spectacular cross-country road route alongside the all-road option was the most obvious way that we can continue to grow and expand this event.”

Launched in 2019, the Frontier 300 has grown into a bucket-list type event for many endurance riders looking for an organised but social event where it’s more about enjoying the journey and taking in the route more so than how fast you finish.

Entry costs for the two-day road version are the same as the all-road option, at £160. This will include fully-stocked feed stations, overnight camping, evening meal, route GPX, breakfast, coffee, a warm and supportive atmosphere, some of the best bikepacking brands, brunch by the beach on Sunday morning and an adventure never to be forgotten.

The SCOTT Frontier 300 is Focal Events’ second event in the calendar year, following what will be the 10th edition of Dirty Reiver in April. Focal’s one day gravel race, Dalby Grit, follows in June before the third edition of the Gravel Rocks weekend celebration of all things gravel in July.
