Dalby Grit Announces Impressive Roster of Event Partners, Confirms Packed Field of Racers

26 February, Cumbria: Focal Events, organisers of the new Dalby Grit Gravel Race, has announced the first wave of confirmed event partners for this summer’s inaugural event.

Presented partners confirmed for Dalby Grit include fi’zi:k, Maxxis and Wahoo, the latter also a partner across the wider Focal Events portfolio. Other event partners include Chamois Butt’r, Enduro Bearings, Orange Seal, Ride With GPS and TORQ Nutrition, who will be stocking the event’s feedstations along the route.

Taking place in North York Moors National Park this June, Dalby Grit tackles a 110km parcours akin to the original gravel grinder races in the US. The route covers some of the finest gravel in the UK, linking a network of trails around Dalby Forest over punchy climbs, fast descents and long stretches of fast, flat racing.

“We’ve had a great response from the industry so far to what Dalby Grit offers in what is still quite a sparse gravel racing calendar in the UK, with some leading brands coming on board to enhance the experience on race weekend,” explained Co-Race Director Bryan Singleton.
“We pride ourselves on the quality of events that we deliver and Dalby Grit will be no different to that at Dirty Reiver, Frontier 300 or Gravel Rocks. With entries really picking up now, including a good number of elite and international riders starting to register, we’d encourage anyone interested to get signed up soon.”

The inaugural Dalby Grit race will sit amongst the premium gravel races in the calendar, whilst Focal Events are developing plans to evolve the race into a stand-out national event in the calendar.

The already impressive number of entries confirms the appetite for elite gravel racing in the UK, with Focal now offering a full portfolio of gravel events - from family-friendly day out at Just Gravel to a festival weekend of racing and fun at crankbrothers Gravel Rocks, and more endurance focused events with the Panaracer Dirty Reiver and SCOTT Frontier 300.

Entries to Dalby Grit cost £85. More information can be found at https://www.dalbygrit.cc/event-info.
