Milano, Italy - 16 April 2026: A decade of connection and inspiration has brought Cinelli and former bike messenger turned artist Chas Christiansen back together for their latest collaboration drop - SHRED LIFE. An expressive collection shaped by years of riding, racing and creating together, this drop, designed internationally and made in Italy, joins a wider range of both lifestyle apparel and performance racewear which launched this April.
The new and limited SHRED LIFE collection takes form in a vibrant and detail-rich Tech Cap design alongside a concise range of casual Tees, designed for life on and off the bike, blurring the lines between everyday wear and adventure. A broader range of Tee designs and Tech Caps are also now available featuring expressive takes on Cinelli’s iconic branding.
Where it all began…
Chas’s connection to Cinelli began over a decade ago, when admiration became reality after winning his first Cinelli frame in a San Francisco alleycat. From riding through the city hills for work to racing on a global stage, the relationship evolved into a series of design collaborations, including contributions to iconic frames such as the Parallax, SSCX, and Mash Work Frame.
Chas Christiansen: “I have always lusted after Cinelli. From the 90’s anodised crazy colors to the classic Pista drop bars, the brand has continually pushed the boundaries of style and performance.
"I won my first Cinelli frame in a San Francisco alleycat, which started a decade-long relationship. Immediately, this became my messenger bike and I rode it everyday up and down the hills of San Francisco to pay the bills.
“At the time, alleycats were the lifeblood but races like Red Hook Crit were growing and so was the urge to race on the world stage. Soon we were racing Cinelli bikes as a team, in front of thousands of fans at races around the globe. I lived, breathed and rode Cinelli.
“The first couple pieces I designed for Cinelli were fully analog. I would print out the template full size, draw all over them, roll it up and send them back to Milan for the magicians at Cinelli to turn into actual products.
“Nowadays, despite using an iPad to draw designs, the ethos remains the same, to inspire through the things I see and use in daily life. SHRED LIFE embodies this in a collection of items and things I use and say in everyday and adventure life. Some simple, some serious and some nonsensical, but all SHREDDY.”
The latest lifestyle apparel collection forms part of a wider drop from Cinelli, where the brand continues to blend culture and creativity with performance-driven innovation, including its new racewear range. Designed with the finish line in mind, this range combines breathable, technically advanced fabrics with vibrant colors made to stand out in the peloton.
