Columbus Components Confirms Ison Distribution as UK Distribution Partner

  • ISON to distribute a growing range of Columbus Components and newly launched wheels
  • Columbus Components entered the wheel category this month with three high-performance wheelsets
  • Columbus also expanded its range of components this summer with the debut of Integrated Cockpits, and Carbon Forks Across Road, AllRoad and Gravel

Milan, Italy 15th September 2026: Columbus, the iconic Italian manufacturer of bicycle tubing and components, has announced a new distribution partnership for its carbon components with ISON in the UK.

Founded in Milan in 1919, Columbus has produced tubing for the industry's leading and artisan bicycle manufacturers, and for some of cycling's greatest champions, for decades. In recent years the brand has expanded into components, with a growing focus on carbon manufacturing.

The ISON partnership lands at a key moment for Columbus Components: the brand has just entered the wheel category with three full-carbon models, Cento, Spirit and Gara, joining an established range of headsets, forks, handlebars and accessories sold through both B2B and B2C channels.

Victor Luis, Chairman of Gruppo SRL, commented: "We're excited to kick off this new chapter with ISON in the UK. Finding the right distribution partner isn't just about logistics — it's about trusting someone to represent our brand and the craft and heritage behind every component we make. ISON gets that, and their reach across the UK trade makes them the right fit as we bring our first-ever wheelset range, Cento, Spirit and Gara, to market. This is a big step for Columbus Components, and we're glad to be taking it with a partner who shares our ambition for where the brand goes next."
Lloyd Townsend, Managing Director at ISON Distribution, added: “Columbus is a legendary name in cycling, with a reputation built on high performance, quality and innovation. Their new range of premium Road/Gravel carbon components and wheelsets are a great fit for our portfolio, and we’re incredibly excited to make Columbus products accessible to dealers across the UK.”

Before the recent introduction of the new Columbus wheels, the storied Italian brand also launched an updated range of carbon components, including its debut integrated cockpits. Four new lightweight integrated handlebars are now available, alongside three new carbon forks. A culmination of over a century of innovation and heritage in tubing and component manufacturing.

UK dealers will be able to view the Columbus range and place orders via the ISON B2B portal from mid-September 2026. For more information, please visit www.ison-distribution.com, contact your local ISON account manager, or email sales@ison-distribution.com.

About Columbus Components

Columbus introduced carbon fiber manufacturing alongside its revered steel and aluminum tubing capabilities in the early 2000s, initially focusing on carbon fork production before expanding its expertise to the development of structural frame components. The XLR8R carbon tubing range evolved from a wishbone component and chain stays to entire front triangles. Combining heritage with innovation, Columbus Components now embodies a comprehensive finishing kit portfolio that completes any bike for the aesthetically and performance-focused rider.

The latest additions to the Columbus Components range are a product of years of design and engineering expertise paired with close collaboration with expert carbon fiber manufacturing partners. Alongside the collection of integrated cockpits, handlebars, stems and forks are a range of performance seatposts, Racespoons providing front end computer and accessory mounts, and lightweight bottle cage designs.
