Classified Powershift Hub now Integrated with SHIMANO Di2 Groupsets via Wireless Communication

08:00 BST / 09:00 CET, 24th June 2025 – Classified announces integration between its Powershift Hub technology and SHIMANO Di2 electronic groupsets, marking a key milestone in drivetrain compatibility. This integration is the result of a cooperation between Classified and SHIMANO. As part of the SHIMANO CONNECTED PARTNERS program, Classified has enabled seamless integration with SHIMANO electronic drivetrains — a key step in Classified's mission to deliver rider-focused performance solutions through open innovation.

This new compatibility allows riders to control the Classified Powershift Hub directly from SHIMANO Di2, eliminating the need for a separate button and enhancing the overall ride experience. With familiar tactile feedback, Di2 users can now shift the internal two-speed Powershift Hub using their existing SHIMANO shift levers, enabling a seamless, intuitive set-up. The result is an integrated wireless system that brings together SHIMANO’s electronic precision with Classified’s innovative Powershift Hub.

As of now, all existing and future users of Classified's Powershift Hub can directly connect with all SHIMANO Di2 groupsets through the Classified app. The update is free of charge and requires no additional hardware.

This launch is a response to the strong demand from leading bicycle manufacturers who have requested seamless SHIMANO integration as part of their high-performance drivetrain specifications.

This integration combines the advantages of Classified’s Powershift Hub with SHIMANO’s industry-leading Di2 shifting systems. The result is a clean, high- performance 1x set-up with more gears and a larger gearing range.

Key benefits include:

1x Simplicity, 2x Functionality: With Powershift and Di2 groupset collaboration, riders can enjoy the benefits of a 2x system whilst retaining the chainline efficiency, and durability of a 1x set-up

  • Fast, reliable shifting under full load: Instant Powershift functionality under full load, now activated through Di2 shifters
  • Simplified set-up: No additional buttons, remotes or accessories required
  • Cross-Platform connectivity: Riders can connect their SHIMANO groupset to the Classified system via the Classified app and adjust personal preferences through SHIMANO’s E-TUBE PROJECT Cyclist app.
Mathias Plouvier, CEO of Classified: “We are proud to announce this milestone collaboration. SHIMANO Di2 users can now experience the full performance and simplicity of Powershift without compromise. This breakthrough development in compatibility brings our hub technology closer to riders who demand both efficiency and innovation in their drivetrains.”

Classified continues to push the boundaries of drivetrain innovation, offering cyclists smarter, more efficient solutions. The SHIMANO integration represents another step in the brand’s mission to simplify and enhance the riding experience through intelligent, collaborative solutions.

The new integration will be showcased at Eurobike 2025, where visitors can experience the system firsthand at the Classified booth.
