Cinelli Launches Domestic Assembly of High-End Road and Gravel Bikes in the USA
Austin, Texas – Cinelli Bicycles, through its wholly owned U.S. subsidiary Gruppo Americas LLC, has announced the domestic assembly of three of its most advanced bicycle platforms in the United States. The models now being built at the Cinelli Logistics Center in Ames, Iowa include the Pressure ADR (Road Endurance), Pressure II (Road Race), and King Zydeco II (Gravel Race). Customers may choose between Shimano and SRAM drivetrains, and bespoke specifications are available upon request.
“These bicycles represent Cinelli’s most advanced carbon platforms,” says Paolo Bailetti, Sales Manager for Cinelli. “They combine cutting-edge performance engineering with the unmistakable Milan design language that defines our brand.”
The new U.S.-based assembly operations offer Cinelli the ability to better respond to market demand with increased agility and customized dealer support. Assembly is carried out in a cellular build style, which, while more time-intensive than traditional production lines, ensures a higher level of quality control and precision. Most dealer orders are fulfilled within 24 to 48 hours of receipt.
Frames are assembled from the ground up in Ames, and dealers may choose between an 85% Dealer Build or a 99% Ready-to-Roll Build. The centrally located Iowa facility streamlines logistics for North American distribution.
Simultaneously, Cinelli has announced the launch of Made in Italy steel frame fabrication in-house within its Headquarters in Milano, Italy. The iconic Nemo platform - offered in Road Rim, Road Disc, and Gravel configurations, is now handcrafted in the same workshop as its sister company, Columbus Tubing. These steel frames can be made to order and shipped directly to Cinelli’s global dealer network in as little as 60 days.
“This strategic dual approach, in-house Italian craftsmanship and U.S.-based assembly allows us to serve our riders and dealers with unparalleled flexibility, speed, and quality while staying true to our Milan design heritage,” says Victor Luis, Chairman of Gruppo SRL, parent company of Cinelli and Columbus.
