Breaking the Mould: MAAP Reimagines Pro Cycling Style for the New Season with GreenEDGE
- Kit launch marks the second year of ongoing technical partnership
- New design retains the team’s now signature Aurora colourway with a new design twist
- MAAP and GreenEDGE have worked closely to debut several new technological developments for the 2026 season
6th January, Melbourne, Australia - Melbourne-based premium cycling apparel brand MAAP and GreenEDGE Cycling have today unveiled the kit that will be worn throughout the 2026 season by Jayco-AlUla, Liv AlUla Jayco and Hagens Berman Jayco cycling teams.
The announcement marks the second year of the ongoing technical apparel partnership between two iconic brands of Australian cycling and follows a standout season that saw the teams debut their refreshed aesthetic identity with stage wins at the Tour de France Femmes alongside the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and Vuelta Espana.
The 2026 kit retains the instantly familiar Aurora colour scheme that brought MAAP's signature aesthetic to the world of elite professional cycling in 2025 with the new addition of a flame motif, ensuring the team will remain one of the most striking and recognisable in the pro peloton. The 2026 design and technical product advancements are not just a display of creativity and innovation in the WorldTour, rather an expression of ambition and purpose - GreenEdge isn’t just racing to win; it’s racing to change the way the world sees cycling.

Following the widely covered reception of their initial partnership, MAAP knew they had an opportunity to continue to build an identity that not only made waves within the world of cycling but beyond.
MAAP's Chief Creative Officer Misha Glisovic:
"MAAP has always been driven to push the boundaries. It’s core to who we are and how we see our place in the sport. We want to use design to broaden the appeal of pro cycling, nudging the sport towards something more stylish and aspirational. Ultimately, we want to be true to our values at MAAP, and GreenEDGE shares this vision."
The 2026 launch isn't just limited to a new design. Over the past 12 months MAAP has been working closely with GreenEDGE riders to bring a host of technical developments to the new kit.
Building on the success of the AARTERO Flyte fabric debuted in 2025, that at just 20 Micron's thick brought huge aerodynamic savings alongside unmatched thermoregulation, MAAP has continued to push the envelope of what's possible with performance cycling apparel.
For 2026, the GreenEDGE race kit builds on proven performance platforms with targeted advancements across key race scenarios.
- The lightweight race speedsuit represents the next evolution of the AARTERO Flyte fabric system introduced last season. It refines aerodynamic efficiency while further improving thermoregulation, delivering a more stable performance balance for racing in extreme heat and high output conditions.
- The updated time trial speedsuit is optimised specifically for sustained high-speed efforts. Refined fabrications and construction refinements deliver measurable aerodynamic gains while improving airflow, breathability and rider cooling during full gas pursuits against the clock.
- Completing the system is the Elements Pro Race Jacket. A low volume, race specific outer layer engineered for wind and rain protection without sacrificing breathability. Built with the latest membrane technology, it fits close like a jersey and is designed to be worn when conditions deteriorate.

Craig Coetsee, MAAP's Lead Designer said of the partnership:
"Every update in the 2026 race kit is driven by the same objective, enhancing speed without compromising rider comfort. Developed in close partnership with the GreenEDGE program, these products represent the next evolution of systems validated at WorldTour level. Each piece has been carefully tuned for specific race conditions, reflecting MAAP’s ongoing pursuit of excellence and performance through continuous refinement and innovation.”
The new MAAP x GreenEDGE pro kit will debut at the Tour Down Under, MAAP and GreenEDGE’s home race from 16th January 2026, with a supporter kit being launched soon.
