6th January, The Hague, Netherlands ​ – BBB Cycling launches the CoreCap, a complete rethinking of the traditional Presta valve. Designed for both tubed and tubeless systems, the CoreCap solves long-standing issues of fragility, air restriction, and ​ maintenance. With up to 300% more airflow and full compatibility with all common bicycle pump types, including Schrader (AV) pump heads. The CoreCap brings a new level of simplicity and performance to tire inflation. ​ 

Reinventing a classic design ​ 

The traditional Presta valve has changed little in over a century. While effective, it’s prone to bending, clogging, and breakage during frequent use - especially with tubeless setups. BBB Cycling’s engineering team set out to redesign the system ​ from scratch, removing the weak points while retaining universal compatibility. 

The result is the CoreCap, a compact, robust mechanism that eliminates the need to unscrew valve cores or use fragile adapters. The internal construction maximizes ​ airflow for faster, smoother pressure adjustments, while its durable design withstands repeated use and harsh conditions without degradation. ​ 

Near Universal Compatibility

A key feature of the CoreCap is its near universal pump compatibility. The valve is designed to fit standard Schrader (AV) pump heads, as found on most modern floor pumps and at petrol stations. This means riders can inflate their tires anywhere, without adapters or special fittings, while still benefiting from the precision, simplicity and increased airflow of the CoreCap valve. ​ 

Whether at home, in the workshop, or on the road, the CoreCap connects seamlessly to any common pump setup, including dual-head and auto-select models for Presta, Dunlop, or Schrader valves. ​ 

Two variants, same innovation ​ 

The CoreCap is available in two configurations: ​ 

● CoreCap AL Valve – a complete tubeless valve set featuring the integrated CoreCap design. 

● CoreCap Valve Caps Upgrade Set – available separately to upgrade any threaded Presta valve with a removable core, including those on inner tubes. 

Both versions feature the same simplified design that eliminates the fragile internal core and improves airflow by up to 300%, providing faster inflation and better pressure consistency. ​

The CoreCap will be sold as a complete tubeless valve system and also as the CoreCap Valve Caps, which can be used to replace the traditional Presta valve core on most threaded valves (innertubes and tubeless valves).
