12th December - Reutte, Austria: CERATIZIT Pro Cycling is excited to announce that Afghan National Champion Fariba Hashimi joins the squad for 2025, becoming the first rider from Afghanistan to reach the Women’s WorldTour.

After a breakthrough season in 2024, in which she took her first professional victory on stage 5 of Tour Cycliste Féminin International de l'Ardèche and represented Afghanistan at the Paris Olympics, 21-year-old Hashimi’s inspiring journey and talent exemplifies resilience and determination, aligning perfectly with the team’s values and commitment to developing the talents of young riders on the international stage.

“It is a great opportunity and I’m very proud to be riding for CERATIZIT next season.” Hashimi explained, “I’m excited not only to take the next step in my career but to represent Afghan women and my country as the National Champion in the Women’s WorldTour. I can’t wait and look forward to enjoying every moment.”
“We are proud to welcome Fariba to the CERATIZIT family,” said CERATIZIT Pro Cycling Manager, Claude Sun, “when we were looking at riders for the next season, she ticked all the boxes in terms of potential, and her competitive spirit makes her an outstanding addition to our international team. We look forward to supporting her development as she competes at the sport's highest level.”
“I am really proud of Fariba.” Road to Equality President, Alessandra Cappellotto said, “Since August 2021, when I helped her and other Afghan cyclists to come to Italy, her growth has been constant and I am happy that her career can continue with CERATIZIT. I really believe that this is the right team to help her realise her cycling dreams.”
